Science also becomes a victim of Covid 19
Since 2017, the 14th International Congress on the Deterioration and Conservation of Stone (Stone 2020) had been planned. Now the organizing universities in Göttingen and Kassel have cancelled the event due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Up to 400 experts from all over the world were expected to attend the conference. ACS was also involved in the local scientific committee and in the review process for the congress proceedings. However, the up to 1300 pages of proceedings with almost 200 contributions will be published independently of the conference. ACS and associates have also contributed five scientific studies for the congress publication.
